Individual Therapy
A space to understand yourself more deeply, explore what may be difficult to carry alone, and develop more meaningful ways of relating to yourself and others.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults, adolescents and young adults in Melbourne.
What Individual Therapy Can Offer
I offer individual psychotherapy for adults, adolescents and young adults within a psychodynamic and relational framework.
Therapy provides a space to slow down and give attention to thoughts, feelings, relationships and experiences that may be difficult to understand or carry alone. While immediate difficulties and symptoms are important, therapy can also help us become curious about what lies beneath them – recurring patterns, earlier experiences and relationships that may continue to shape the present.
My approach is grounded in curiosity, emotional depth and the understanding that meaningful change often develops through the therapeutic relationship itself. Over time, therapy can support greater self-understanding, emotional resilience and more meaningful ways of relating to yourself and others.
Reasons People Come to Therapy
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be struggling with something specific, noticing patterns that keep repeating, or simply feeling that something in your life or relationships needs greater attention.
- Trauma & emotional difficulties
- Relationships & intimacy
- Identity, sexuality & belonging
- Anxiety & emotional overwhelm
- Depression & low mood
- Life transitions & uncertainty
- Grief & loss
- Self-esteem & self-worth
- Parenting & family relationships

What Is the Process Like?
Therapy begins with an initial conversation where we can think together about what brings you to therapy, what you are hoping for, and whether working together feels appropriate.
If we decide to continue, sessions usually take place at a regular weekly time. There is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what to talk about. The work develops gradually, through conversation, reflection and attention to what emerges both within and between sessions.
Psychodynamic therapy does not follow a predetermined programme. It allows space for your particular history, relationships and emotional world to shape the direction and pace of the work.
